Very nice example of a rare contemporary counterfeit die struck Barber half dollar.  This example was made via transfer die from a genuine coin on a sterling(?) silver planchet; the planchet alloy is estimated at this time.  The pick-up-point for this counterfeit is the bisecting reverse die crack.

On average, examples of this variety become available less than once per year making it a rare die struck counterfeit type coin to add to your collection.
