This variety is part of the Ski Nose family of counterfeit CBHs. This example was struck on a German silver planchet. The lettered edge die marriage is LRE.119-AAU. Overall condition is very nice. A weaker obverse strike contrasts with a strong reverse strike with a lot of de-tails boldly visible including the diagnostic diagonal shield crack. About 15-20 examples have so far been documented.
