Most of the original copper plating over the white-metal core still remains.  Overall, a fairly attractive example. 
 
These were originally a proof-only issue, and electrotypes were produced afterwards for collectors and museums to fill scarce or more expensive holes in their collection.  Today, these vintage electrotypes remain popular with collectors.
