There are four (4) die struck counterfeit 3cS varieties dated 1852, and this transfer die variety is the slightly easier variety to acquire. Currently, about 10 examples of this variety have been documented making it quite scarce overall. This example is actually nicer than nearly all examples I've seen, and nicer than the 2 other examples which I've sold.
