This is a superb example of a very scarce 1858 Z1-H from the Star-Shield Amateur family. I'm calling this example AU because all details are strong, crisp, and the strike is as even as I've ever seen. This is a later die state illustrating the obverse clashing in addition to the diagnostic arcing die crack. This piece does have a super thin reverse scratch in the right obverse field and it's the only blemish worth noting.
 
Still, no examples are currently known in a prime die state without this die crack. This is the second example of this variety I've ever been able to offer, and I'm surprised I've been able to offer this piece shortly after this first example of this variety sold.
