This is an absolutely stunning example of 1861 Z5-Q from the Star-Shield Amateur family. While not a rare variety for the series, nearly all examples of this variety that I've encountered are in lesser grades or damaged. I would grade this piece a strong EF, if not a little better. All details are sharp and crisp. If you're building a high-grade set of ctft 3cS varieties this is not a piece to pass up. I doubt I will enounter a comparable example for quite a while.
