1878 TD.1-TD.K is a transfer die variety struck on a brass planchet and thinly silver plated. Nearly all known examples are weakly struck, well-circulated, and lack their silver plating. This is 1 of 19 transfer die contemporary counterfeit Seated quarters currently documented. Currently, 6 examples have been documented in my census, but 25 or more likely exist.
 
This example is well circulated, and has multiple small and thin test scratches.
