Hand-made, die struck counterfeit Spain 1 Real's from this time period are rare, and super-crude hand-made die varieties like this one are even rarer.  The S's on the reverse are backwards, other lettering is crude, the portrait is crude, plain, and lack details, while the shield shows some details but they are quite inaccurate.  The planchet is brass. This might be the crudest counterfeit of its type.
